I had the pleasure of attending various leadership workshops conducted for senior business leaders at Cairn by Ms. Shyamli Rathore in the areas of Emotional Intelligence, Managing Talent, Building your Leadership Presence and some others. I was struck by her excellent understanding of the business and ability to make seemingly esoteric concepts very applicable to the work that we were doing in a simple and engaging manner. Shyamli’s ability to create a huge engagement with her audience (despite their diversity), her powerful facilitation style and ability to ask relevant questions related to the business problems made me internalize and use these concepts effectively. I have attended many workshops during my career, but I would rate her work as one of the best I have come across so far and would recommend her to any organization of repute. I know Shyamli from many years. As General Manager, Engineering at Triveni Industries, Noida I have attended the leadership development program and also self analysis/winning with people program. This was a complete 3 days session with both theory and interactive sessions. The tips given for the leadership development were excellent as they were all backed up with the strategy adopted by well known industrial leaders (like Vinit Nayar from HP). The self analysis session was very much interesting as it gave an opportunity for all Functional Heads/General Managers who were attending to trace down our own weak and strong areas. Shyamli also provided enough guidance to improve upon our weak areas and strengthen strong areas further. She did this through an interactive session between various functional heads who were attending and through series of questionnaires which enabled all us to mutually indicate others improvement areas. Surprisingly the self analysis curve derived from the questions we answered indicated the same!
I liked this program very much due to the fact that it was able to bring out the personal developmental issues which all of us were aware about but mostly not ready to admit! After this session it was very clear to all of us about our personnel lacunas and how to improve it.
I really thank Shyamli for being able to achieve this and strongly recommend her for conducting such sessions to middle/top management groups so as to bring out hidden conflicting personality issues, which are avoiding focus on company’s common goals. This program also helps to iron out difference between high profile functional heads by identifying their individual improvement areas, conflicting personality traits. The training program also provides sufficient practical solutions to achieve the same.
Shyamli Rathore conducts a number of behavioural and skill building interventions for us at Fidelity international. She has excellent facilitation skills, and is able to really bring out key messages through her natural training style. Her classroom programs have been very well received in the India office as she has been able to understand and engage with the target audience well each time. Workshops particularly well received have been around communication, facilitation and leadership skills. Globally across Fidelity, the virtual programs facilitated by Shyamli have also been very popular.
I had attended a customized training program designed by Sidman Learning Solutions in 2015 as a newly promoted Vice President at RBS which ran over a five month period. The program had covered modules on Managing Business, Managing Self and Leading Teams in a Changing Environment. It was an exceedingly insightful intervention which helped me think deeply about my role and helped me in the transition to VP role very smoothly. The entire program was facilitated by Shyamli Rathore. Her deep conceptual knowledge combined with her practical examples made the sessions extremely engaging and lively. She challenged us to think beyond the obvious. Her ability to help correlate the concepts to the actual job which we were doing helped me learn and apply the concepts to my work. I would highly recommend her services for senior level leadership development training.
